Polishing process is important step during custom acrylic display stands production. Because this step will influence the appearance visual effect of the display stands. Actually, the result of polishing process will not only influence the visual effect of the display stands, but also will influence the display effect of your products.
Normally, there are three kinds of polishing methods that are frequently using during custom acrylic display stands production. They are buffing polishing way, flam polishing way and diamond polishing way. In this article, the polishing engineer from Able Acrylic Display would like to discuss about these polishing ways.

First, buffing polishing way. This is the mostly using polishing way for custom display stands.

When polishing acrylic display stands, we will need to put some polishing wax on the buffing machine. Then let the acrylic board press onto the buffing gently and move the acrylic board around. The wax and buffing will polish the surface of acrylic board and make it bright and smooth. However, when using buffing machine, there are some aspects we need to pay attention to. Do not press the acrylic board too hard onto the buffing; do not put the acrylic board onto the buffing for too long time. Because too much and too long time close to the buffing will damage the acrylic surface and burn their surface yellowing. This is a traditional polishing way for most custom display stands manufacturers.

Second, flame polishing way. Flam polishing way is usually using for edge and rough selvedges polishing for custom acrylic display stands.

As we all know, when the acrylic boards are cut into pieces, their edges are rough. We need to clean up the edges first. Then use flame polishing machine to polish the edges. Pay attention that the moving speed of flame polishing machine should be quick and even, so that the edges can be smooth and flat. Most of the custom display stands manufacturers are using this polishing way.

Third, diamond polishing way. This is a newly appear polishing way in recent years.

Diamond polishing way has better polishing effect than buffing polishing way and flame polishing way. Also, the cost for diamond polishing machine is also higher. Nowadays, more and more custom display stands manufacturers are applying this polishing method.
